Dr Hassan Younes and Dr Sarifa Alonto Younes are the founders of their Alonto-Younes International foundation.
The foundation has the primary focus of creating better living opportunities for orphans and disadvantaged families in the Philippines. One of their main projects is providing access to education for orphans.
They have also set up a number of initiatives to help families in rural areas, including providing access to permanent liveable housing, clothes, food and clean water. The foundation has had a significant impact on the lives of many people in the Philippines and is making a real difference to the disadvantaged.
Their orphans sponsorship program in the Philippines started in 2006. They were first moved to act when they visited the island of Mindanao and saw the difficulties that many Filipino families face every day. It is hard enough to provide for a family, but these parents also often have to choose between food and education for their children.
The orphans sponsorship program provides financial assistance to help with some of these costs, as well as other resources like clothes and books. The foundation sponsors orphans through school, college, and sometimes even help with job placement after they graduate.
It is their goal is to break the cycle of poverty for these families, and give them the opportunity to build a better future.
The foundation decided to create something more permanent to help and we began our sponsorship program which we called "Adopt an Orphan".
The foundation began reaching out to families in the Philippines who needed help in taking care of their kids. The foundation provides food, clothing, and education for the kids that needed it. The foundation also provided financial assistance to the families so they could send their kids to school.
As the foundation continued to reach out and help more families, it was realised that the foundation was making a difference in the lives of the kids we were supporting. They were able to give them hope for a better future. Today, the foundation is still helping Filipino families by providing food, clothing, and education for their kids.
We are also proud to say that our foundation has helped hundreds of kids get an education and go on to lead successful lives. Thanks to our foundation, these kids now have a bright future ahead of them.
There is more needed in helping orphans living a better life and creating a better future.
